Last Updated: November 2025

1. Introduction

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User”) and the developer (“Licensor”) of the software application TickTray (“Software”). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

2. Description of Software

TickTray is a lightweight desktop utility for Windows that allows you to manage up to five independent timers. Each timer’s activity is logged automatically to a log.csv file located in your user’s %AppData%\TickTray directory for personal record-keeping. The Software does not transmit data externally or collect personal information.

3. License Grant

The Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on your personal or work computer for your own use.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Software;
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software without written permission from the Licensor;
  • Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in any way that may damage or impair the Software or related services.

5. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Software, including any updates, enhancements, or derivative works, remain with the Licensor.

6. Data Storage

The Software stores timing logs locally on your device in a CSV file under %AppData%\TickTray. The Software does not upload, transmit, or share this data with any external service. You are solely responsible for managing and backing up your local log data.

7. Updates

The Licensor may provide updates or improvements to the Software. Such updates are subject to this Agreement unless accompanied by a separate license.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Licensor does not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements or operate without interruption or error.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, productivity, or profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Software is to stop using it.

10. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling and deleting the Software and all associated files. The Licensor may terminate this Agreement immediately if you breach its terms.

11. Governing Law
